Friends of Ottawa Irish Arts
  • Irish Communities of Ottawa. A voluntary, non-profit organization, formed with the consensus of the Member Organisations to facilitate and encourage information sharing and collaboration amongst the various Irish communities in the Ottawa area to provide a gateway for all people who wish to become involved in Irish community groups or activities.

  • Irish Radio Ottawa (formerly The Gaelic Hour). It broadcasts an eclectic mix of programming that includes literature, the arts, history, cultural topics, music and features of local interest. Broadcasting since Sept 2005 the show has featured many high profile internationally known personalities including Sinead O'Connor, Tommy Tiernan, Christy Moore, Daniel O'Donnell and many many more. While much of the content has an Irish focus, other Celtic/Gaelic ethnic topics and music are regularly featured. The Archives section of the site continues to provide access to the Gaelic Hour shows since 2006.

  • Irish Music Ottawa. This not-for-profit webpage provides links to primarily Ottawa Valley, and Irish Traditional Music (ITM), activities in, or within a few hours to a day's drive, of the Ottawa / National Capital Region of Canada. See also its companion Irish Music Ottawa Facebook page

  • The Irish Society of the National Capital Region. The Society’s main objectives are the promotion of Irish / Irish-Canadian culture and heritage, and the strengthening and support of the Irish / Irish-Canadian community in the Ottawa region.

  • The Embassy of Ireland - Canada. The Embassy represents Ireland in Canada and also in Jamaica and The Bahamas.

  • Oireachtas Gaeilge Cheanada It is a weekend filled with traditional Irish music, singing, dance, story telling, and friendship. It is a celebration of the Irish language (Gaelic) and the traditional culture of that language.

  • Ottawa Celtic Choir. The Ottawa Celtic Choir was established in 2008, and reflects a rich heritage of Celtic music in our community and our country.

  • Sets.ie - Irish Set Dancing Events. This website, a brainchild of Bill Lynch, lists all the places where you can locate Irish set dance classes, around the word! They are grouped by Regions, Counties, States, Provinces, and Venues. This site will help you to find the nearest set dance event while you are globetrotting!

  • Canadian Association for Irish Studies. Seeking to foster and encourage the study of Irish culture in Canada

  • Ottawa Chapter of the Ireland-Canada Chamber of Commerce. In cooperation with the Irish and Canadian business community, ICCCOTT promotes bilateral trade, investment, research and development between the local Irish community and the two countries facilitating access to a broad cross-section of relevant contacts.

  • Gaeltacht Thuaisceart on Oileáin Úir. North American Gaeltacht, the only permanent Gaeltacht site outside Ireland is located in Tamworth/Erinsville, Ontario, and was opened officially on 16 June 2007.

  • Saint Brigid's Centre For The Arts Saint Brigid’s Centre for the Arts is a multidisciplinary venue for all kinds of artistic, cultural and social events. The centre is housed in the magnificent spaces of Saint Brigid’s Church, a former Irish Catholic church built in 1890.
